Stations Metadata

We understand how important it is for station artwork, song images, and video previews to display correctly while listening.

On RadioDune, all metadata—including song titles, artist names, album artwork, station logos, and any additional media such as images or video indicators—is sent directly from the radio station’s own broadcast system. RadioDune does not generate or modify this information; we simply display whatever the station provides in real time.

Why metadata may not appear
There are a few common reasons why a station’s images or video indicators may not show up:

The station is not currently broadcasting metadata
Some stations only send audio and do not include artwork or song information.

The station’s metadata feed is temporarily offline or incomplete
If the broadcaster’s system is experiencing issues, the artwork or “red button” features may not activate.

The station uses older or limited broadcasting software
Not all radio systems support modern metadata formats such as album art, cover images, or enhanced media.

What RadioDune can do
We continuously monitor the platform to ensure that if a station sends metadata, we display it instantly and accurately. If the station does not send it, there is no way for us to generate or guess the missing information.

What the station must do
Only the radio station can:

Enable or update their metadata broadcasting

Fix missing artwork or song information

Activate enhanced features such as video previews or “red button” content

Update their streaming software to support modern metadata formats

If you would like, you can also contact the station directly and let them know the metadata is not appearing on RadioDune—they may not be aware of the issue.

Our commitment
RadioDune is always improving how we display metadata, artwork, and enhanced content. If the station updates their feed, the information will appear automatically on our platform without any action needed from you.

If you notice this happening with multiple stations or believe something else may be wrong, please let us know and we’ll be happy to investigate further.
